LAC Grant Announcement

April 28th, 2020

For the past four years, Vinnies NSW have been delivering Local Area Coordination services to the residents of the Central Coast, Hunter, New England, Central Sydney, South East Sydney and South West Sydney. In this time our LACs have helped more than 40,000 people with disability access and use the NDIS.

Last week, the NDIA announced the organisations it is partnering with to lead the Local Area Coordination program through until 2022. Vinnies NSW will not be one of these organisations and whilst we are disappointed, we feel honoured and privileged to have worked with you during the formative stages of the NDIS in NSW.

Vinnies NSW is working closely with the incoming organisations to facilitate a smooth transition for participants, their families and carers and to ensure the continuity of Local Area Coordination services. If the organisation delivering your LAC services is changing the NDIA will contact you to let you know about the new arrangements.

For further information about the NDIA’s announcement please visit the NDIS website:

In the meantime, if you have any questions please either get in touch with your LAC directly or connect with us through our Knowledge Hub.
